Z.A. Khan's story

from dedicated imam to disciple-maker

Page summary

The large Indian state of Uttar Pradesh is home to nearly 44 million Muslims. And God is at work bringing forgiveness, hope, and eternal life. Pray for Muslims in Uttar Pradesh, remembering that each one of those 44 million people is loved by God. Z.A. Khan was one of them.

Khan’s father dedicated him to serve Islam as a baby, and Khan faithfully obeyed. He spent years studying Islam and then serving as an Imam. He lived for Islam.

One day he was invited to a conference for Imams, and he came across two Christians who wanted to talk with him about Jesus. Khan was ready for them, and he challenged them with what he thought were many hard questions. But they, too, were ready to challenge Khan, and they shared an observation about the Quran. They said, “Salvation is not there.”

How would Khan respond to this challenge? What could possibly convince him to read the Bible? How would this moment change his life?
