"Vadim's" story

radically transformed by God's love

Page summary

Some parts of the Muslim world are dominated by fundamental and radical Islamists. But even this does not stop God from touching hearts. No person and no place is ever beyond God’s reach! Every one of these fundamentalists is a real person, not just a member of some political group. As we pray for them, we need to remember that God loves them. People like “Vadim.”

“Vadim” was raised in a Muslim family in a part of the world where extremism and violence are a daily reality. He grew up studying Islam and the Quran, and he lived among fundamental and radical Muslims. There was no doubt in “Vadim’s” mind that Islam was the truth.

Then one day his brother returned from Russia and told the family that he had become a Christian. “Vadim” was horrified! His brother was better off dead. Since they slept in the same room, “Vadim” and his brother talked at night, trying to convert each other. Finally, his brother said, “Let us pray and ask Allah to help us.”

What would happen when they prayed to Allah? What would happen between “Vadim” and his brother? Could God change lives even in this hard place?
