safiya's story

transformed by Christian love

Page summary

Kuwait is a small country in the Arabian Peninsula and home to millions of Muslims. Millions of real people whom Jesus loves and died for. Safiya is one of them.

As a child, Safiya faithfully prayed as Islam directed, doing her best to be a good Muslim. She prayed for her father to stop beating her and her mother. She wanted assurance that she would go to paradise when she died. But her prayers were never answered.

When war destroyed their home, Safiya’s family was forced to live in America. With Allah and her family distant from her, she was lost in a foreign country. Then her beloved grandmother died, and Safiya was left heartbroken and all alone. Did anyone care about her?

Who will show Safiya the love she needs? Will she keep trying to be a good Muslim? How can Jesus change her life?
