Page summary

For most ethnic groups in Central Asia, being a member of that group is equated with being Muslim. But God wants all peoples to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth – not just some. When we pray for the Muslims in Central Asia, remember that they are individuals – real people whom God loved enough to die for them. Mirlan was one of these.

Although his parents were still alive, Mirlan was raised by his Muslim grandparents. Growing up, he was rebellious and made a great deal of trouble. Eventually, he was thrown into prison for six years.

When he was released, he learned that his mother had become a Christian. Mirlan could not believe it, so he asked her himself. She confirmed that she was following Jesus, but Mirlan wanted nothing to do with it.

His life became worse and worse, until he believed he would die. With nothing left, he decided to go with his mother to church.

What would Mirlan find at church? Would he ever be set free from his suffering?
