keivan's story

"Who do you say I am?" Mark 8:29

Page summary

Iran boasts a long, proud, and rich history. But revolution and political conflict have disrupted many people’s lives. Many have remained in Iran, and many others have fled. Through all this, God is working to bring many, many Muslims to Himself. As we pray, remember that each of these people is loved by God – like Keivan.

When Saddam Hussein invaded Iran, Keivan and his family fled to America to start a new life. They left everything behind – including their religion.

While they considered themselves Muslims, they did not practice their faith. Keivan wanted to find God. But when he thought about everything that happened to his country, he became angry and dismissed God.

But one of his friends had begun following Jesus, and he invited Keivan to church. Sometimes he would go to the youth group meetings. But why did they talk about God as if He was right beside them?

Would Keivan keep rejecting God? Was there anything God could do to get his attention?
