ali's story

overwhelmed by the presence of a holy God

Page summary

While the Gospel was preached across modern-day Turkey from the earliest decades of the Church, the majority of Turks today are Muslim. But this does not stop God from reaching people. He loves every single Turk, and so we pray for them to believe in the Savior who died for them. People like Ali.

Ali’s family was Muslim, but they were not very traditional. Ali, however, wanted to know more about God and who he is. He decided that before he committed himself to Islam, he needed to understand the truth.

When he left for college, he met a woman who introduced him to Christ followers. Ali listened to several Christians share their story of how they met Jesus, and it made him even more interested. They said that Jesus spoke to them, and Ali wanted to hear for himself. So he began to pray.

Would God speak to Ali? What would he learn about Jesus? How would his family respond to his interest in Jesus?
